Birth.Breath.Connect. is a private practice offering comprehensive Pediatric and Adult Speech-Language Pathology services that integrate Primitive Reflex Integration and Breathwork to support holistic healing and growth. We proudly serve the communities of Buena Vista and Leadville in Colorado’s Arkansas River Valley.
Therapy sessions are available in the comfort of your home, in community-based settings, or in our clinic locations in both Buena Vista and Leadville. Telehealth Speech-Language Pathology services are also offered to clients throughout the state of Colorado.
At Birth.Breath.Connect., each individual’s plan of care is guided by the individual and/or their caregiver. We are committed to fostering autonomy, personal authority, and empowerment so that every person feels confident and supported in making decisions about their therapeutic journey.

Meet the Owner:
Nicki Schad, M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist | Founder
Nicki Schad is a Speech-Language Pathologist and the founder of Birth.Breath.Connect. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Minnesota–Minneapolis (2009).
Nicki’s career spans early intervention, school settings, private practice, hospitals, transitional care, and long-term care—providing services from birth through end of life. After several years working with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Nicki herself sustained a life-changing TBI. This experience deepened her commitment to serving the TBI community both as a clinician and as a peer.
She currently facilitates Mindset programs through LoveYourBrain, a highly recommended resource for anyone impacted by TBI—whether personally or as a caregiver.
